uniquely wonderful.

When I was young, I was very shy. People would come up to me to talk and I would turn red. Like a tomato. Yes, they said it just like that too- "your red, like a tomato." Thanks, because now I'm even more red.
As I have gotten older, that shyness has dwindled quite considerably but guess what? Sometimes it creeps up on me and I get all tongue-tied and awkward. In that moment, I feel like I'm 12 and staring at the first boy I had a crush on.
And I hate that.
Here are more randoms you may not know about me:
1. I'm a loyal friend. Because of this, I'm very selective about who I open up my heart too.
2. I got married way too young-in my opinion. I was 20, and in some ways it's been really hard and in others, I wouldn't change it for the world.
3. I'm a Missionary Kid. And proud to be one.
4. I have 4 siblings and love being in a large family.
5. My 1st kiss was at age 12. His name was Mario, he was an Arab boy. I had a crush on him for 2 years. Cause that's how I roll.
6. I'm obsessed with beautiful grass. Yet, oddly enough, this doesn't play into effect in my home. I've given up on the blasted greens in my yard. It just doesn't like me-I'm convinced.
7. I love the Lord with all my heart. He is my rock.

Tell me about you-what makes you uniquely wonderful!?

photo booth + [my] Mai.

Happy Tuesday, friends!
I wanted to share some photo booth shots of Mai and I at a recent wedding. After working hard all day, I insisted we jump into the photo booth and we giggled through the whole thing...an hour later we found ourselves back there-because we could, of course.

love-love,

mind your manners.

Internet peeps, I got nothing but mad love for you, but I just have to tell it to you straight.
This blog is allll about RSVP-ing to do's.
Ready?
1.::RSVP fake out::
Something that always makes me sad is when people RSVP and don't end up coming. Now, I understand if your child is sick or your car broke down. Who I'm talking to here is the people that don't go because they don't feel like it, or [fill in the blank]. Please decide if you want to come, before you RSVP, because when you RSVP, the bride & groom pay for your food, your favor & deal with seat charting with you in mind---just to name a few.
This past weekend, I had a wedding where 1/3 of the people who said they were going to come, did not. I was overwhelmed by the amount of food that had to be thrown away! The plates were about $14 each [which is relatively cheap for a sit down meal]. That's a lot of green wasted, but also, it's just so sad considering how many people in our world are starving.
2. ::RSVP blow off::
RSVP. period. On average, the bride&groom do not get 1/2 of their replies back from their guests. Do you know what that means? To add to their already hugely busy schedules they have to call each and every one of you to ask "are you coming to my wedding?" not.fun. Take time to let them know by the date listed on your invite.

Don't hate. I just had to say my two cents or else it will eat away at me.
...Now come here & give me a hug for showing you the light. I know you love me.....

dessert table brillance

I'm blog-obsessive.
It's true. Now you know my secret.
First thing this morning I spied this fabulous blog from Style Me Pretty and it literally had me drooling. I just had to re-post it's brilliance.
The lovely Jenna over at Eat Drink Pretty has really caught my eye. This is what she said about her tabletop beauty:
I designed this dessert table to celebrate Eat Drink Pretty’s blogiversary. The vision was to bring my blog to life by asking the question, “if Eat Drink Pretty was a dessert table, what would it look like?” The colors and overall style of the table were influenced by the blog design; lots of pinks and grays, a chandelier and rows of tasty pink treats. Many of the desserts were homemade and were inspired by the many recipes I have featured on my blog over the past year.

Here are the amazing images!

Hello beautiful peonies...these are my favorite flower!

'pheather'

That's what they call themselves... Phil+Heather= Pheather. Kinda like "brangelina" but better.
They are becoming one this Saturday at their neighbors most beautiful backyard. It has a pond... and a butterfly chair. It's perfection.

...and I'm honored to be a part. :)
